Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic technique to enhance the appearance of eyebrows. It is a procedure in which pigment is implanted between the epidermis and the dermis. The pigment is etched into the skin as fine, hair-like strokes to mimic natural eyebrow hairs. The pigment generally lasts 1-2 years and will fade slowly depending on your skin type and skincare routine.
-
During the microblading procedure, the pigment is applied with a specific hand tool that has a row of several fine needles to create fine, hair-like strokes, on the skin. Needles and blade are chosen according to the type of technique and skin type. A touch-up is required 4-8 weeks after the initial treatment.

1.) Keep the area clean and dry: Avoid getting your brows wet for the first 7-10 days. Use a damp cotton pad to gently clean around the brows if necessary.
2.) Avoid touching or picking: Do not touch, pick, or scratch the brows as they heal to avoid infection or removal of pigment.
3.) Apply aftercare balm: Apply balm sparingly for 7-10 days to help with healing.
4.) Avoid make-up and skincare products: Do not apply makeup or skincare products (especially those with acids or exfoliants) near the brows for at least 14 days.
5.) Avoid sweating and heavy workouts: For the first week, avoid activities that cause excessive sweating to prevent pigment from fading.
6.) Protect from the sun: Keep your brows out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds. Once healed, always use sunscreen on your brows to maintain color.
